We're Hooked!!

At Make we understand how many of you just love Crochet, so we have teamed up with Becs from Kiwicraft to bring you an amazing line up of crochet workshops!
Curl up this winter to create something gorgeous!

If you have never crocheted before don't despair! Learn all you need to know in our Learn to Crochet workshop, plus you will take home your first hook and a ball of yarn to keep you going!

Once you have mastered the basics, we have two directions for you to go: 1) Amigurumi and 2) Home & Accessories

1) Amigurumi
Amigurumi (編みぐるみ?, lit. crocheted or knitted stuffed toy) is the Japanese art of knitting or crocheting small stuffed animals and anthropomorphic creatures. The word is derived from a combination of the Japanese words ami, meaning crocheted or knitted, and nuigurumi, meaning stuffed doll.[1] Amigurumi are typically animals, but can include artistic renderings or inanimate objects endowed with anthropomorphic features,[2] as is typical in Japanese culture. - Thanks Wiki!

We have a fantastic list of workshops, just check the prior requirements needed for each one and then book your date in! Next week we have Murtle Turtle - if you can single crochet, start a ring of stitches and increase you can do this one! You will learn how to create joined rounds, changing colour in joined rounds and construction.

2) Home & Accessories
This route with crochet is fantastic as you will work with both regular & softer yarn in order to create pretty handwarmers, african flower motifs, mug warmers and slippers

Keen to book on? Just click on this link and you can register today. Why not bring a friend along and each get $5 discount per workshop?

You can view the Kiwicraft Felt shop  to see what other creative items she sells!

And if you love free stuff post your latest crochet project on our Facebook page  by 31st March and we will pick a winner to get the latest Simply Crochet + a Ball of Inca yarn mmmm nice!!
