Workshops in July

Wow, June has gone by so fast! I know - we say it every month, but it's been especially true this past four weeks. We've had a workshop nearly every day and have really enjoyed introducing so many of you to new crafts, ideas and skills!

In July, we have got some very exciting new workshops coming up, as well as a few old favourites too! Oh and we mustn't forget a special line up of children's classes to keep your wee ones occupied during the school holidays (scroll to the bottom for more details)!

Learn to Sew                          Tuesday 2nd July, 7.30 – 9.30pm                         $35            (FULL)

In this complete beginner's workshop, you will get plenty of one-to-one tuition to help you learn how to use a sewing machine to make a basic cushion cover. Maximum of four students.

Upcycle a lampshade!                    Thursday 4th July, 7.30 – 9.30pm                      $35

Bring in an old lampshade needing a new lease of life and we will show you how to give it a make-over! You will also receive a 10% discount off our range of 250 quilting weight fabrics to spruce up your shade with!

Bezel Necklace and Earrings                Monday 8th July 7.30 – 9.30pm                                 $45

Make your own necklace and pair of earrings whilst learning the techniques behind making resin jewellery. A very addictive hobby!

Learn to Knit                                Tuesday 9th July 6.00 – 9.00pm                     $45

Learn the basics of knitting and make yourself a beautiful pair of fingerless mittens to keep your hands cosy through the colder months!

Learn how to master the art of making these much sought after culinary treats and wow all your friends and family at your next morning tea!

Learn to master the basics of cupcake decorating and make four scrumptious looking (and tasting!) culinary delights!

Make a little felt house                         Sunday 14th July 12.00 – 3.00pm                              $40

Learn to make, decorate and embroider yourself a little felt house! A lovely ornament which also shows off your skills!

An introduction to Crochet – Infinity Scarf       Wednesday 17th July 7.00 – 9.30pm      $45    2 spaces left!

Learn to master the basic crochet stitches and make a gorgeous infinity scarf to wear all winter long!

Sew a Butterfly Quilt Block                Thursday 18th July 7.30 – 9.30pm                           $35

Learn to foundation paper piece. This is technique by which fabric is sewn to paper to make a quilt block.

In this full day's workshop, you will learn how to cover a piece of your own furniture in stunning fabrics. A perfect craft for fabric addicts who don't sew!

Advanced Beginner’s Knitting             Sunday 21st July 12.00 – 3.00pm                             $45

If you know how to cast on and a few basic stitches but want to learn how to take your knitting abilities to the next level, then this is the class for you!

Learn several impressive culinary craft techniques and make a beautiful Rosette Cake which looks likes it is covered in real roses – you wouldn’t believe it’s fondant!

An all-inclusive workshop in which you will create a comfy fabric pouf to put your feet up on!

Learn the art of knitting in the round and make yourself a pair of socks to keep your tootsies warm this winter! Warning: once you've made one pair, everyone will want some!

If you've never quilted before and would like to have a go, this is the class for you! Learn the basic principles and make a simple strip quilt with a selection of beautiful fabrics.
